Who is your favorite fictional couple and why?
The most famous fictional couple, and my favorite, has to be Jay Gatsby and Daisy Buchanan. Once you dive below the surface, you find two people who are truly desperate for wealth and the status it brings. Tom Buchanan simply expects it, and Nick Caraway observes it through glass, very darkly.
What is the best thing about being a writer?
Nothing that happens to you is ever lost. What you see; what you hear, what you experience—all of it is there for you to use building a character, creating a scene, fashioning outcome.
